Before we launch into the finale of our first season of The Ballygobbard Project, we wanted to let you know that from next Thursday we’ll be starting a brand new story in 12 weekly chapters.

Maison Majella, our very first Majella spinoff (!), will see everyone's favourite primary school teacher navigating her self-build journey solo when Pablo is called back to Tenerife on unexpected family business. From a cowboy builder (her father) to window woes to a childcare disaster, Maj must pull out all the stops to turn a waterlogged site into an Instagram-ready home. The question on everyone’s lips: will they be in by Christmas? It might just take a miracle …

Read last week's instalment

Read the story from the beginning

Aisling opened her mouth in the darkness, but before another word could cross her lips John beat her to it.

“If you say the words ‘Bianca’, ‘biscuit’, ‘tin’ or ‘laptop’ one more time I’m going to sleep on the couch, and then you’ll be thick with me and I’m the one who’s thick with you.”

Aisling closed her mouth again.

“Why are you thick with me? I’m not the one who’s been keeping a secret about a dead dog for twenty years and letting a whole town believe there was a ferocious Beast on the loose. It’s Don Hatton you should be thick with.”
